I'd ignore all the "spurs are interested" headlines right now no matter where they are from, as we have put the feelers out for a lot of players. Especially home grown ones, agents, selling clubs, even people at the club are jumping on them and blowing them out of proportion. If FP likes a player, we've enquired, if AC likes a player we've enquired, if they are being put forward by their agent or one of our scouts and we think they are decent we've enquired, etc etc etc. Zaha, enquiry..... I think you get the point, just because we've asked the question re their availability it certainly doesn't mean we are looking to sign them, because AC doesn't actually want any of them. It costs nothing to ask the question, and knowing the situation allows things to change quickly to best fit the jigsaw.
I have a couple of names we are looking at but even then I'm not convinced they'll go anywhere because FP has a lot of names on his list right now and besides the fact we know one of them needs to be Association trained it'll be a case of how the two we want in best fuse together, both in fit (one of the two HG at least) and also cost.
One thing I'm certain of that I can add is that we are not only looking in this country for the HG option, and have definitely had more than just enquiry contact with one player from overseas and this player has not hit the media yet.
As a closing point it's worth remembering we are not looking to sign the players you lot have watched, we will be signing the players that AC/FP have watched and evaluated. They may well be the same person but very different players.

Strange times for a deadline day, the club is in full lockdown and has been for a few days now. Between us we are all hearing similar.... We are trying for players but we are getting very limited information as to who we are currently trying to get in before close of play. We have 2 that could potentially leave today(plus Gil) but as Conte has said that won't happen unless replacements come in, and I doubt we let both go tbh. The club is 100% taking every precaution to hide any potential business. What I can say I have been told is that we already have an eye on January. Now my interpretation of that would be a player we've tried for, can't get, and their club needs them to sign a new contract. So Bastoni or Zaniolo, but that's just me taking an educated guess based on limited information. If that's the case then we clearly won't be looking to spend huge money on a player in that position now.
As for today, I wouldn't rule anything out, Be that 2 or 3 in, or even no one at all, as I genuinely have no idea how this will pan out. Hope to be able to bring a bit more as the day goes on and things progress.

Panic has certainly increased as they know the outcome if they don’t back him. Don’t rule anything out right now. You could see a shock backing, but not in large figures. Players Trix and H88 have hinted at certainty will be quality. And they are deals we could do. It is in the club’s hands now. The pressure is on. And Conté loves it here, and wants to commit on long contract. But he wants certain things to manifest, and not just mouth talk.
